Face it, we all have those times where we just don’t feel sexy. We’re tired and run down. Maybe suffering from a plethora of mental illnesses. Sometimes life just takes a toll on us and we just don’t feel sexy anymore. Sometimes, once we get to that point, we find we can’t get out of those negative thought patterns. But I’ve got news for you, it’s ALL ABOUT PERSPECTIVE.
I’ve laid out a list of five steps you can take to feel sexy all day long. Whether you have a hot date later or you just want to feel sexy for yourself.
Positive thoughts right off the bat.
You wake up in the morning and maybe you didn’t sleep well the night before. You’re fighting with yourself to stay positive and have a good day, but it’s hard. The very first thing you need to do is tell yourself “I am sexy.” Even if you don’t actually believe it.
Make self-care a priority.
Get up. Take a shower. Wash your body, your hair. Blow-dry it if you feel the need to. Wash your face. They say by 30 you should have a good skin-care routine. Do you have one? If not, make that a priority now. Because believe me, when you start a skin-care routine that you do daily, you will feel so much better about yourself.
Put on your favorite makeup. Take a chance with that sexy bold color you’ve been too afraid to try.
Get dressed for yourself.
Slip into your favorite underwear. The ones that make you feel sexy. The ones that make you feel like fucking. Then top that off with that outfit you feel sexiest in. Take a chance in something you’ve been afraid to wear or might make you feel “over-dressed”. Basically, if it makes you feel sexy then wear it!
Create that sexy playlist.
Create a sexy playlist and play it while you’re getting ready. It will help set the mood. If you’ve been here for a while, or maybe you’re new but have poked around some, you’ll see I have a couple different playlists which you can find here and here. These should at least help get you started on creating your own playlist. But remember you don’t have to use these songs. Your playlist should be filled with the songs that make you feel sexy.
Hold your head up and practice good posture. How you hold yourself is a big part of how not only you see yourself, but others as well. When I practice good posture and keep an attitude like “I am sexy” no matter where I’m walking around, it makes me feel really good about myself. Body language can give off so much about how you’re feeling and sometimes we don’t even notice that bad body language is part of the reason why we feel so shitty.
I have found that the more I practice the above steps, the sexier I feel on a day-to-day basis. Sometimes it’s just enough to get me up and out the door and other times it sends my sex-drive into overdrive and I spend the entire day fantasizing about sex.
You deserve to feel sexy in your own skin.
