Valentine’s day might be over but that doesn’t mean you have to stop acting like it’s Valentine’s day. Maybe some of you are even waiting for this weekend to celebrate because Thursday isn’t really an ideal night to go out. And also, I don’t know about you guys, but where I live has increased in population so much that traffic and restaurants are always bad. It gives me a headache to even think about what it would have been like to go on a date last night.
Here are my top favorite movies for a romantic weekend in. This list includes romantic movies as well as movies that just have memorable sex scenes so don’t think it’s just going to be The Notebook, P.S. I Love You, and Fifty Shades of Grey.
I mean, how could I not include one of the most (IMO) romantic movies ever? Just thinking about how Noah tried every day with his wife who could no longer remember him 90% of the time, was the most romantic thing I’ve ever seen.
P.S. I Love You
This is my absolute favorite movie. This too shows a man who has passed but thought of his wife before his passing and wrote her letters to help get her through his death. My panties are wet now, thanks.
(NOTE* I get how both of these can be percieved as unrealistic expectations for men and I do not hold my husband to such ridiculous standards, I just really like romantic movies.)
Fifty Shades of Grey
I mean, did you expect anything else from me?
Basic Instinct 1 & 2
Both of these movies have some hot sex scenes in them. The second one opens up with the woman driving a car and the guy fingers her from the passenger seat, so there’s that.
Sausage PartyOkay this one is kind of a joke. Unless you really liked it, then this one is for you! The orgy at the end of the film was surprising and hilarious.
Black SwanI totally have a girl-crush on Mila Kunis. This was a pretty good lesbian scene. (IMO)
CrankHere’s a movie to watch for all you action movie lovers. It’s a good movie with a hilariously raunchy sex scene.
To All The Boys I’ve Loved BeforeThis movie is utterly romantic and newer. You can catch it on Netflix.
Of course Ryan Gosling is on this list twice. He had to fight to get the NC-17 rating removed because the oral sex scene seemed so real. It’s also about a married couple and things that happen during their marriage.
There you have it. Now go have a romantic weekend with your partner and hopefully that includes sex.
